the stamp man.

Years ago at our bike shop, a rubber stamp salesman came in, trying to sell me custom rubber stamps. He saw that we had skateboards and asked if we had any by Santa Cruz and said that his nephew used to be sponsored by them. Turns out his nephew was Duane Peters, the punkest skater of all time and one of my anti-heroes. I met Duane a few years later at trade show and mentioned meeting his uncle and he confirmed it. Funny. I think I bought a stamp from him even. My wife tried to order a custom rubber stamp for a co-worker the other day, but received this e mail today: > Gail, > > We recently received an order for a custom product on > <http://www.rubberstamps.net/ however, this product > contains profanity. > > It states in the www.rubberstamps.net > Terms > and Conditions, viewable at <http://orders.rubberstamps.net/terms.> > "RubberStamps.Net will not > create > any stamps that promote profanity, racism, hatred, bigotry, contain > pornographic materials or any illegal or illicit activities. "
Me and Duane are proud of you baby...
