My son Noah is obsessed with Tom and Jerry. He's three, so it's pretty standard that he's into Diego, Dora, Wonderpets and that fruitcake Barney (luckily not so much any more), but the Tom and Jerry thing is kind of weird. I bought him the DVD quite a while ago and was surprised that it had not been edited down like the ones I had seen most recently on TV. It features all the hammers on heads, explosions and mousetrap action I so fondly remember as a kid. No blackface though, thankfully. My research of the belovedly violent duo ultimately ended in this re-discovery:
