When I first met Mike McHue almost ten years ago, all he could talk about was how he remembered me from the old days with my green Jofa mouth guard. I did have a green Jofa and as a matter of fact, I still have it.
Mike found one somewhere along the way and rocked it yesterday at the Ray's Vintage BMX event, in true early 80s style--uselessly flapping along the side of his helmet. I once was screamed at by a track official in Ft Wayne, Indiana for having my Jofa unsnapped during practice.
That second jump is one of my favorite non-tricks as well. I even did one last week at the DK session. McHue is the best and it's good to see him on a bike (he's a ripping skater too). I wish I could have been there yesterday.
